In this third video, Dr. Sanjay Gupta continues his efforts to research and root out the truth about Marijuana as a medicine. The latest installment in the "Weed" series takes a look at PTSD in veterans and the roles Medical Marijuana have played for some.
You'll also check on the progress of a new study that images the brain of new users and follows them over the long term. We know that the brain has receptors for cannabinoids (compounds within Marijuana, like THC or CBD) but how Medical Marijuana effects certain areas of the brain has always been a mystery, not short on speculation. Research conducted by Harvard Medical School graduate, Dr. Staci Gruber, goes inside to find the answers.
Did you know that only one location in the US is federally permitted to grow Marijuana for research? This video will take you there to talk with some of the scientists behind the FDA funded project.
Of any series about Marijuana, we recommend this body of work by Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Not long ago, he was a very public opponent of Marijuana. He decided to do some research and things haven't been the same since. We plan to cover his transformation in an upcoming blog post, stay tuned!
If not for yourself, watch this for someone else and share your new knowledge. Odds are, you might know someone who can benefit directly.
