Seniors are amongst the fastest growing group of people using Medical Marijuana. The knowledge behind the medicine is growing and the stigma attached to it's use is fading. Medical Marijuana has been receiving more attention from traditional news sources. Forbes Magazine recently highlighted a story of one Seniors experience with MMJ.
This story is about Alice, a 91 year old who had an open mind when it came to trying new things. Like most Seniors, she has a variety of pills to take daily and the side effects were obtrusive. Alice lives in California, a state where MMJ is legal with a Doctors recommendation.
She tried medicating with an infused edible for her insomnia but with little effects, she didn't pursue it much further. Fast forward a few years to an untimely fall, while on vacation visiting family. Reluctant to use the prescribed narcotic pain medication, she was asked once again if she would like to try Medical Marijuana.
